About Me:

CrossFit started for me in 2008 (before it was cool). I was at a local globo gym and wanted more out of my fitness. I played high school level sports, but never considered myself an athlete. I tried a class that focused in the methods of CrossFit and fell in love. My first workout was “Barbara” 5 rounds each for time, 20 pull-ups, 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups and 50 squats – rest 3 minutes between rounds. I didn’t come back for another week due to soreness, but knew there was something to this “CrossFit” thing. In 2011 I decided to get my CF-L1 Certification and interned at another affiliate in town. I was able to coach part time and work full-time as a graphic designer in Springfield. As I continued to coach, I decided I wanted more knowledge and experience. In 2013 I received my CF L2 Certification. CrossFit has allowed me to have confidence in myself. I continue to push myself to become fitter and healthier each day, as I hope to guide others in the same direction. I joined RailSplitter CrossFit in January 2017 and have thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, programming and community. I pride myself in being a relatable coach and having the ability to help guide and motivate athletes of all ages and fitness levels.
